Well, this is the reason that I don't put alot of personal information on my facebook account. I know some people put phone numbers, addresses, etc. on their accounts and I think the less information, the better. There really isn't much we can do at this point mainly because the changes have been made so anything you have posted already is there. Don't know yet what I will do, probably will stay on.
Glad I never participated!
Well it was a really dumb move on their part to change the TOS without notifying users...Because as we all saw it really got people stirred up and mad about it. So that was smart of them to change it back due to everyone freaking out about it. It still didn't surprise me to much because anything you put on the internet well.....you just better be careful.
I agree w/ arielle - you have to be careful with whatever you put on the internet! no matter where it is ... facebook, blogs, its all the same. and they changed it back cause everyone flipped out. thank goodness!
The internet is a tricking thing. There can be things on here from 20 years ago or more that your not aware of. My kids are on there simply by being in their school newspaper. With the doing away of all things tangible and going more digital and everything from schools, churches ect..on the web, if they post a picture or article its there in google land forever. It doesnt surprise me with the facebook changes. But if you type in your name on google, your facebook page pops up and anybody can copy those images. (Give it a try and you will see) I would say don't post anything that you don't want others to see. Even our blogs are open to the net.
What have you decided Vicki?
